Beginner Committees

Beginner committees are perfect for either the truly beginner delegate or someone who feels they need more practice before entering more fast-paced and competitive committees! Our beginner committee Directors are all excited to give all delegates feedback, help ease delegates through YMUNK’s procedure (letting them focus on their debating performance), and foster a dynamic yet educational committee experience. All beginner committees are UN Committees, and the expectation is to at least get through one of the topics.

Intermediate Committees

Delegates with some (or a good amount!) of Model UN experience will thrive in YMUNK’s Intermediate Committees. More fast-paced with more complex topics, these committees have chairs that allow delegates’ experience in Model UN to shine through, all while delivering helpful feedback, robust support, and creating a warm environment for delegates to enjoy debate. The intermediate level features one UN, Specialized, and Crisis committee, allowing delegates to hone their skills in debate as well as try out a new committee type.

Advanced Committees

For the experienced and daring delegate! These committees are all fast-paced, with unique and creative topics that will challenge delegates’ creativity. Expert Directors who know the ins and outs of Model UN will deliver pointers to bring each delegate’s public speaking and debating skills to the next level. These are the perfect committees for delegates who want to test their creativity, enjoy complex problem-solving, and want a fun, dynamic, and warm environment to debate in!
