WYATT HUANG

Wyatt is a junior at Silliman college majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, and Cognitive Science. He has served as the Director-General of Operations for YMUNK last year and is beyond excited to return! Outside of YMUNK, Wyatt is a part of the U.S.-China Semiconductor Policy Research Team at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and is involved in U.S.-China research at the Yale Law School. In his free time, Wyatt loves to travel and try out different cuisines around the world. He also spends a lot of his time watching movies (his favorite being Dark Knight!) and reading poems. DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF COMMITTEES

EVELYN JIANG

Evelyn (she/her) is a junior in Silliman College from suburban Chicago, Illinois and is beyond excited to serve as the Director-General of Committees for YMUNK XII. She is a history major focusing on global culture and migration patterns. Outside of YMUNK, Evelyn serves as the Yale International Relations Association President, works at the Yale Daily News as the Production and Design Editor, and plays on the Yale Club Field Hockey team. She loves taking long walks around campus, reading the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, and completing her Duolingo lessons at the most random of times. ZOEY DUAN

Zoey Duan (she/her) is a current junior in Jonathan Edwards College, studying Global Affairs, Global Health Studies, and Statistics and Data Science. She is super excited to help put on a conference-of-a-lifetime for YMUNK XII delegates as the Director-General of Operations.  Outside of YMUNK, she conducts research with Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative, serves as a QA/QI analyst for Haven Free Clinic, and organizes legislative advocacy and nonprofit work in Hawaii. She loves listening to pop punk and true crime podcasts, pretending to study at cafes, and playing games (Monopoly Deal!) with friends. UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF BRANDING

KYLe GUO

Kyle Guo (he/him) is a junior in Pierson College from North Haven, CT, majoring in Economics and Political Science. Kyle is glad to be to be back at a YMUN conference this year to serve as USG of branding for YMUNK XII. Outside of his work with YMUNK, Kyle serves at Secretary-General for YMUN India and is involved with the Yale Entrepreneurial Society, and is the Executive Producer for the Yale Founder Series podcast. In his free time, Kyle enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, binging a good show, or discovering new artists on Spotify. UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF BRANDING

MARK CHUNG

Mark (he/him) is a senior at Yale majoring in History with a focus on Asia and the Pacific. Raised in the confluence of Korean and American cultures, Mark grew up with a passion for tracing his family roots and heritage. Mark’s academic interests include the formation of postcolonial national identities (ask him about the history of SPAM!) and contemporary reindigenization movements across Asia and the Pacific. His work is centered around unpacking the lasting impacts of imperialism and settler colonialism and seeking ways to heal communities through resistance and acts of joy. At Yale, Mark works at the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC), serves as the co-president for the Korean American Students at Yale (KASY), and volunteers as an EMT. At any given moment you can find him going on solo hiking trips, making industrial batches of kimchi for his friends, or strumming to 80’s Korean music on his guitar.

elizabeth steeves

Elizabeth (she/her) is a first year in Grace Hopper College from Trumbull, Connecticut studying history and is thrilled to be serving as Under-Secretary General of Delegations for YMUNK XII. Outside of YMUNK, she is the Brief Writing Captain for the Yale Undergraduate Moot Court team, a Yale tour guide, and a project leader for the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association. In her free time, you can find Elizabeth on early morning hikes, working through an ever-growing TBR, or watching the latest season of Survivor. ELORA KIM

Elora (she/her) is a junior in Jonathan Edwards College from Everett, Washington, and is serving as the Under-Secretary-General of Outreach for YMUNK XII. She is an Art and Economics double major and is pursuing a Korean language certificate. Outside of YMUNK, Elora serves on the Yale College Council Business Team, works at the Student Technology Collaborative as a Media Tech, plays on the Yale Club Tennis team, and is involved with content creation and video editing on campus. She likes photography and videography, lifting (currently on a hiatus), eating and spending time with friends and finds herself falling into rabbit holes on social media often. Andre Fa'aoso

Andre (he/him), is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a prospective Double Major in Political Science and Sociology. Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, Andre is a proud Kiwi and a staunch advocate for young people and Pacific and indigenous affairs within New Zealand and abroad. Besides YMUN Korea, Andre works at the Jonathan Edwards Buttery, is a member of the Indigenous Peoples of Oceania at Yale, writes for the Yale Daily News, and works at the Yale Peabody Museum as a conservator and researcher with Native American and Pacific collections. ava chae

Ava Chae (she/her) is a junior in Ezra Stiles College from Kansas and is a Economics major. When she is not working on her YMUNK duties as a Director, she is playing the violin in the Davenport Pops Orchestra or volunteering for the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project. In her spare time, she likes to solve escape rooms, have karaoke nights with friends, and watch action movies. Taehyong Ko

Taehyeong (he/him) is a junior in Timothy Dwight College majoring in Cognitive Science with a certificate in Education Studies. A Korean-American born in Korea but raised in California, Taehyeong is excited to chair a committee with delegates from all over Asia for this year’s YMUNK conference! Outside of YMUNK, Taehyeong is involved in research with Yale’s Policy Institution, TEDxYale, and is a Student Guide at the Yale Center for British Art. He also served as the USG of Delegations for the YMUNT X conference. In his free time, Taehyeong loves to play sports and is an active participant on many of his college’s intramural teams. Kate Foglesong (she/her) is a sophomore in Branford college from Atlanta, Georgia. She plans to double-major in Ethics, Politics, & Economics and Spanish. Kate is the Under-Secretary-General of Regional Bodies in YMUN 51, and she did Model UN in Spanish and English throughout high school. On campus, Kate is also involved in the Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group, Bridges ESL, and Club Swimming. In her free time, she loves reading, trying new restaurants, and going on walks. RAYMOND JIN

Raymond Jin (he/him) is excited to serve as one of your directors for YMUNK XII. He is currently a junior in Pierson College and majoring in Economics and Mathematics with a certificate in Energy Studies. Raymond is from the town of Farragut, Tennessee, which is close to the city of Knoxville. Outside of classes and YMUNK, Raymond also leads the Small Cap investment team in The Urban Philanthropic Fund, participates as a member of Yale’s Federal Reserve Challenge team, volunteers for First Generation Investors, and conducts research in Yale’s Department of Economics. CHRISTIAN THOMAS

Christian Thomas (he/him) is a sophomore at Yale majoring in Political Science and pursuing two certificates in Education Studies and Spanish. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. At Yale, he serves as the Legislative Coordinator for the Yale College Democrats, writes for the Yale Undergraduate Human Rights Journal, and teaches at the Peabody Natural History Museum. In his free time, you can find him jamming out in the Yale Marimba Band, listening to vinyls in his suite, writing poetry, and hitting the gym. He has loved chairing for Yale Model United Nations Europe, Yale Model United Nations China, and Yale’s 50th Model UN Conference here in New Haven. frank lin

Frank Lin (he/him) is a Yale College junior double majoring in Statistics & Data Science and Economics. Frank was born in Wuxi, China
and has since lived in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Singapore. He has been involved in MUN in various capacities–as delegate, assistant director, director, faculty advisor, and secretariat member–since 2016, so he is incredibly excited to participate in YMUN Korea! Outside of MUN, Frank can be found debating for Yale Debate Association, doing research for Yale’s Center for Environmental Law and Policy, working at the Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group, or, most likely, rewatching episode 10 of Queen of Tears for the 18th time. Alexandra Ceballos (she/her) is a sophomore at Yale from Miami, Florida, and she is incredibly excited to serve as a Director for YMUNK XII! She plans on majoring in Global Affairs with a Certificate in Advanced Chinese Language, and is passionate about exploring cultures through language-learning. She is currently a USG of Branding for YMUN China, and has served as a Chair for both YMUN Europe and YMUN on campus. During her free time, you can find her at the Branford Pottery Studio working towards her first mug or discovering new study spots around campus.
